What We Do

Hunter's Chest collects donations of toys, snacks, and necessities for children victimized by crime.

How It Works

Hunter's Chest donations are collected, sorted, and distributed to police stations throughout the Bay Area by volunteers.

Impact

Over twenty police stations now have a Hunter's Chest. Together, we've helped hundreds of children.

Hunter's Story

“I’m Hunter, and my mom and dad are Sergeants for

the SFPD! When they told me about the kids who needed toys, I decided to share mine!”

And so, Hunter’s Chest was born.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Hunter’s Chest accepts donations, toys, and essentials. With your help, we can bring Hunter's Chest to more communities. Help us, help the kids!

TOYS

We are happy to accept new, unopened toys and stuffed animals. Please contact us today to coordinate a donation pick up or drop off.

We also have pop-up events and toy drives regularly! Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram for upcoming event details.

SNACKS/WATER

Snacks like goldfish and granola bars can really come in handy for children who find themselves at a police station.

We accept unopened “snack pack” size treats and bottles of water (17oz or less). Get in touch today to coordinate a pick up or drop off.

ESSENTIALS

Everyday essentials can make a world of difference to a child.

Here are some products we like to include in Hunter's Chest: Hand sanitizer, hand lotion, baby wipes, tissues, diapers, formula, and baby bottles.

We accept travel-sized essentials and size 3 diapers.

OUR IMPACT

Every police station in San Francisco now contains a Hunter’s Chest which is refilled regularly. Our efforts are expanding to the North Bay, South Bay, and Peninsula.

We've provided toys, snacks, and necessities for hundreds children who entered police stations after becoming victims of crime.

Hunter’s Chest was founded by SFPD Sergeants that wanted to help children who were victims of crime. Since then, over twenty police stations have requested a Hunter’s Chest of their own!
